Two years in the making, "Isles" builds on the artistic energy of BICEP's 2017 debut album while exploring the sounds, experiences and emotions that have influenced their lives and work. Isles is described as a "snapshot" of their work over that time, with the songs set to evolve in different iterations from recording to live performance and beyond. Bicep's globally popular sound emerged at a time when they were beginning their own rapid rise in the music business. After launching the legendary FeelMyBicep blog in 2008, their simple website, which always featured new gems from Italian, house and disco music history, became a huge success, with over 100,000 visitors a month regularly visiting the site. After the blog set up a record label and club night, the pair took to the international scene with in-demand DJ sets that reflected the musical diversity of their blog. After success with productions for Throne of Blood and Aus Music, Bicep signed to Ninja Tune in 2017 and the following year released their acclaimed debut album, which reached the top 20 of the UK charts and did for Groove magazine what no other title in the magazine's long history had ever managed: win Album of the Year and, with "Glue", Song of the Year. Tracks such as "Opal" - and the Four Tet remix that soon followed - and the aforementioned lead single "Glue", with its music video produced by Joe Wilson, became milestones in electronic music in 2017, with the latter also being named DJ Mag's "Track of the Year".

Bicep egy elektronikus zenei duó az észak-írországi Belfastból, Andrew Ferguson és Matthew McBriar. A páros 2009 körül kezdte pályafutását, kezdetben a "Feel My Bicep" című zenei blogjukon keresztül szereztek elismerést, ahol elfeledett diszkó, house és techno számokat osztottak meg.
